When my brothers and I decided to leave #Peru to study abroad, I decided Mexico, my other brother was sponsored and got a job as a chef in USA and my little brother decided to study really far away from all of us. He continues practicing swimming and compete internationally in Australia
This koala is inspired in him, in order not to miss my little brother so much.
We have worked closely with Peruvian artisans to recreated this exotic creature from Australia, with rescue scraps or recycled alpaca fur material.
Each Koala takes more than 3 hours to handmade it by a family of artisans.
The purchase of these alpaca fur toy animals helps artisan families in their economic independence, social well-being and self-esteem.
