This beautiful paperback picture book follows the words of a song which follows the history of Rock Island from Native American times through today. A cd with the music as well as the melody and chords for those wishing to sing it is included at the end of the book. Also at the end of the book is a non fiction section with much historical information and ideas for curriculum use in schools. A portion of the sales of this book are donated to the non profit group Friends of Rock Island.
